Add the two equations: 5y=5 so y=1, therefore x=3-2y=1.

What did you mean by Dx? If it's the determinant for x then it's:

| 3 2 |

| 2 3 | = 9-4=5

Dy is:

| 1 3 |

| -1 2 | = 2-(-3)=5

And D is:

| 1 2 |

| -1 3 | = 3-(-2)=5

x=Dx/D=5/5=1 and y=Dy/D=5/5=1
