Let the length be L so the width is 2L and the perimeter is 2(length+width)=6L=30 in; so length L=5 in and width=10 in.

Let x = length, then 2x = width

Perimeter = 2(length) + 2(width)

So, 2(x+2x) = 30
6x= 30
x =5

Length = x = 5 inches

Width = 2x = 10 inches
