Call width x then 2x-11 is the length and perimeter is 2(width+length)=2(x+2x-11)=26, so 3x-11=13 and 3x=24, so x, the width,=8ft, and the length=2*8-11=5ft. Check: 8+5=13 and the perimeter=2*13=26ft.
