Let F=number of 5-point questions then if T=number of 10-point questions, we have F=T+5, so T=F-5.

The number of points all together is 5F+10T=5F+10(F-5)=115 points.

So, 5F+10F-50=115, 15F=165, and F=165/15=11. So there were 11 5-point questions.
