if the test is 100 points and theres 36 questions,2 points for multiple choice and short answers are 5 points.
The numbers don't work. If the test has x short answer questions, it has (36-x) multiple choice.
5x + 2(36-x) = 100
5x + 72 - 2x = 100
3x = 28
x = 9 1/3 short answer questions
It works if there are 35 questions.
5x + 2(35-x) = 100
5x + 70 - 2x = 100
3x = 30
x = 10 short answer questions
5*10 + 2*25 = 50 + 50 = 100
