If S denotes integral and [low,high] are the integration limits the area is S[-1,2](((x-1)^2+1)dx)=S[-1,2]((x^2-2x+2)dx)=(x^3/3-x^2+2x)[-1,2]=8/3-4+4+1/3+1+2=8/3+10/3=6.
