How would you convert yards into miles? I’m honestly super clueless on this. Any examples would be greatly appreciated.

There are 1760 yards in a mile. To convert yards into miles therefore, just divide the number of yards by 1760. To convert miles into yards multiply the number of miles by 1760.

Other imperial measures you may encounter are furlongs, rods and chains.

8 furlongs=1 mile=1760 yards; 10 chains=1 furlong=220 yards; 4 rods=1 chain; 22 yards=1 chain; 5½ yards=1 rod. These measures are used in surveying.
