Trying to find out how many yards are needed. I have how many yards i need for a 6in spool, I need to find out how many yards are needed if i get a 54in bolt instead of a 6in spool.

54in is 9 times 6in, so we need to divide 50 yds by 9. Convert 50 yds to inches: 50×36=1800in. So 1800/9=200in=5yd 20in=5yd 1ft 8in.

 

CHECK

6×1800=54×200=10800.
