If the cost of each ice cream is $x, then 10-2x is the change in dollars.

If x=$2.35 then the change is 10-2×2.35=10-4.70=$5.30.

Like if ice cream cost $2.35 each, then the resulting change is in dollars.
Wow that is too expensive for just 1 icecream cone?
It’s double-headed.
