One of the numbers, -1, is negative, so it is least of all because positive numbers are always bigger than negative numbers. We need to convert the fractions into decimals: 3/4=0.75; 7/8=0.875. We need to make all decimals the same length by adding zeroes at the end: 0.800, 0.750, 0.342, 0.790, 0.875. We can compare the decimals by ignoring the decimal point and treating them as ordinary whole numbers: 800, 750, 342, 790, 875. Arrange these in order: 342, 750, 790, 800, 875. Now we can write the numbers, starting with -1, and put the numbers back in their original form: -1, 0.342, 3/4, 0.79, 0.8, 7/8.
