To do this, we need to base all the fractions on the same denominator. The common denominator is 200, because the other denominators divide into it. So 79/100=158/200; 36/50=144/200. (Divide the denominator into the common denominator and multiply the numerator by the result.) Now all we do is compare the numerators:     158, 80, 144 and it's clear what the order should be: 80/200, 36/50, 79/100. The other way to do it is to convert to decimal or percentage: 79%, 40%, 72% or 0.79, 0.40, 0.72 in order become 40%, 72%, 79% or 0.40, 0.72, 0.79.
