F=father's age, S=son's age.

F-5=7(S-5), F+5=3(S+5),

F-5=7S-35, so F=7S-30, and:

7S-30+5=3S+15,

4S=40, S=10 so F=70-30=40.

Father is 40 years old, son is 10 years old.
