The x intercepts are found by solving -2x^3-3x^2-12x+20=0. So x=1.1195 is a zero, and it appears to be the only zero, so there is only one x intercept at x=1.1195 (approx). To find this I used a calculator and discovered that the zero was between 1 and 2; so I increased the resolution to 1 decimal place and discovered that the zero was between 1.1 and 1.2; so I increased the resolution to 2 decimal places, and so on until I reached 4 decimal places. The graph of the function starts with the function having a large positive value when x is large and negative, intercepting the x-axis at 1.1195 and continuing to a large negative value when x is large and positive.
