solve equation and show working out please 5(1-2x)=2(4-x)

I think the awnser is -0.375 but could you show me how you get to this awnser from start to finish please

Wow... you got the right answer which is -0.375... 

But mine is in fraction form:

5 ( 1 - 2x ) = 2 ( 4 - x )          simplify by multiplying

5 - 10x      =     8 - 2x             by grouping

-10x + 2x = 8 - 5                    perform the indicated operations

       -8x     =   3                        divide both sides by -8

           x     =     - 3 / 8   or in decimal is -0.375
