x-intercept = -5

y-intercept = 7

y = mx + b

b is the y-intercept, so b = 7

If the x-intercept is 5, the slope must be 7/5

(don't let this confuse you, the graph of this equation is rising from left to right)

In slope-intercept form:

y = (7/5)x + 7
