The length of a rectangle is 1 less than 2 times the width. The area of the rectangle is 45cm2. Find the length and the width using quadratics. Write an equation to represent the area. Round answer(s) to one decimal place if required.

l = 9 cm

w = 5 cm

equation for area = 2*w^2 - w = 45
