Hi guys, please help me understand how does the distributive law applies to this problem, -2x^2(x+3)(2x-5). I distribute -2x^2 to each term in the brackets, but each time i'm getting the wrong solution! I must be doing something wrong and i can't figure what. Please help me with explanation, or eventually advice what method to use in solving this. Thank you in advance

The first thing to do is to apply the distributive law to the bracketed expressions:

x(2x-5)+3(2x-5)=2x^2-5x+6x-15=2x^2+x-15.

Now apply -2x^2 to this quadratic expression: -4x^4-2x^3+30x^2.

-2x^2(x+3)(2x-5)

SOL: Keep the equation which is already outside the bracket outside the bracket(keep at same place.)

-2x^2 (x)(2x-5) +3(2x-5)

Multiply all the numbers/variables of any one bracket to the other bracket one by one..

-2x^2  (2x^2-5x) (+6x-15)..

Then simplify this and get correct answer...     Thanks allot..
