11.You have normal triangular prism of the base edge length of 2 cm and a diagonal side wall of a length of 3 cm . Do the drawing. Calculate V-volume and Pb-the surface area.

8. Outward journey takes an hour and return journey takes 3 hours. Total distance=120km; total time=4 hr, so average speed is 120/4=30 km/hr.

11. We need to know the triangle's dimensions and we only have two measures. If the triangle is equilateral with side 2cm and the prism is 3cm long, the area of the triangle (1/2)4*sqrt(3)/2=sqrt(3) and we multiply this by the length 3 to get the volume=3sqrt(3)=5.20cc. The surface area is made up of 3 rectangles of area 2*3 sq cm each=18sq cm. If the length is 2 and the triangle side is 3, the area of the triangle is (1/2)9*sqrt(3)/2=9sqrt(3)/4 and the prism volume is 9sqrt(3)/2=7.79cc. The surface area is the same=18sq cm.
