Two girls share Rent at $2075 in a 3 bedroom with 2 kids.

The kids were gonna share the master bedroom and have it be split 50/50 between adults or one adult would take bigger room and pay $100 more.

Person A thinks rent would be $1087.50 to have bigger room while person B pays $987.50.

Because 2075-100= 1975

             1975/2=987 (person b)

             2075-987=1088 (person a)

Person B thinks rent would be $1137 to have bigger room while person b pay $937.

Because $2075/2= $1037

              1037-100=937 (person b)

              2075-937= 1137 (person a)

Person A is right. The $100 must be taken from the total $2075 before dividing by 2.

Person B’s calculation results in a $200 difference between the rents when there should only be a difference of $100.
