(x+1)³=x³+3x²+3x+1, therefore the limit is x²+3x+3➝3 when x➝0. The limit is 3.

x⁵-1=(x-1)(x⁴+x³+x²+x+1) so the denominator divides into the numerator leaving x⁴+x³+x²+x+1➝5 as x➝1. Limit is 5.
