10cm wide means the diameter is 10cm. The volume of the can is πr^2h (base area times height), and we have r=10/2=5cm. And h=12cm. So the volume is 25*12*π=300π cc = 942.5cc approx (0.9425 litre). Volume is the same as capacity and 1cc=1ml.
