eqns; 2x - y = 2................(i)

          x + y = 5 ................(ii)

take eqn (i) + eqn (ii)

3x = 7

x = 7/3

multiply eaqn (ii) by 2

2x + 2y = 10 ......................(a)

 takwe eqn (i) - eqn (a)

-3y = -8

y = 8/3
