The carnival fundraiser at Westville Elementary School raised $300 on Friday. On Saturday, the carnival will raise 480 percent of that amount. How much money will the carnival raise on Saturday? Check all that apply.

The answer will be less than $300 because 100 is less than 480.

The answer will be greater than $300 because 480 is greater than 100.

(100)(3) = 300, so 480(3) is the amount of money that the carnival will raise on Saturday.

480 + 300 is the amount of money that the carnival raised on Saturday.

The carnival raised $780 on Saturday.

The carnival raised $1,440 on Saturday.

It is more than one and answer.

What does 480% mean? It means 480/100. So the carnival will raise 480/100*300=480*3=$1440.

Call the answer options A through F. If I write T after the letter it means TRUE; if I write F it means FALSE.

AF, BT, CT (if 480(3) means 480*3), DF, EF, FT.

So B, C and F are TRUE.

Another way of showing 480% is 4.8.
