The stargate is a fictional portal of a vast network for interplanetary travel. The inner ring has 39 symbols representing star constellations as seen from Earth. As the gate activates the inner ring rotates locking chevrons on the outer track in sequence. Gate addresses use 7 symbols, but to connect outside of the local galactic network an 8th symbol is required. The 7 symbols 6 of which target the destination connect three lines that should intersect at a center point. I'm looking for step by step math logic that calculates any combination of 6 points into x,y,z position and also for my idea of an 8 chevron address find out of the extra symbol a distance multiplier to extend the coordinates on the vector into another galaxy and perhaps beyond to the 9th chevron. I know this is fiction; however the idea must have some real math solution to the targeting coordinates based on factual math solutions.
