Each student is to recieve the same number of cans of juice and the same number of popscicles. What is the largest number of students that can go to the picnic and share food equally? 48 students would each receive one can of juice and three popsicles. There can be no more than 48 students because there are only 48 cans of juice and the minimum handout is one can per student. 3×48=144 (in other words, 48 is the greatest common factor).
