(√3-1)(√3+1)+(√3+1)(√3-1)=2(√3-1)(√3+1)=a+√3b,

2(3-1)=a+√3b,

4=a+√3b, so 4-a=b√3.

There are many solutions because b=(4-a)/√3.

One solution is a=4, b=0. This solution is the only one with a and b as integers.

Another could be a=1, b=√3.
