strate line thru point=(4, -1) with slope=-0.5

y=-0.5x+konst

projekt point from x=4 tu x=1...deltax=-4, deltay=slope*deltax=(-1/2)*(-4)=2

y=-1+2=1

y=-0.5+1
by

slope=m= - 1/2

point =(x1,y1) = (4 , -1)

slope-point form is;

y- y1 = m (x - x1)

substituting above values

y- (-1) = - 1/2 (x -4)

y +1 = - 1/2 *x +4/2

y+ 1 = - 1/2 * x + 2

y = - 1/2 * x + 2 -1

y = - 1/2 *x + 1 (It is in the form of y = mx + c  )[slope =m, y- intercept = c]

therefore ,

m= -1/2, y-intercept = c= 1
