We can do this 1 of two ways. We can either convert 19ft 1in to all inches or we can convert it to all feet.  Let's convert the 1 inch to feet. 12 inches in a foot. we need to get inches at the top right and bottom left

1 in        1 ft

------ x  -------

   1         12in

inches cancel and we multiply to get

 1ft

  --- = .083333 ft

  12

add that to the 19 feet we already have to get 19.08333 ft.

Now we can convert this to meters.  There are 3.2808 feet in a meter

We need to get ft on the top right and bottom right so they cancel

19.08333 ft         1m

---------------- x -------------

          1              3.2808ft

feet cancel and we multiply:

19.08333m

--------------    = 5.816669m

   3.2808

This answer will differ slightly depending upon how many decimal places you use.
