If T=number of 2-point questions and F=number of 5-point questions then T+F=50, 2T+5F=145.

T=50-F, so substituting: 2(50-F)+5F=145, 100-2F+5F=145, 3F=45, F=15 so T=50-15=35.

There are 35 2-point questions and 15 5-point questions.
