3x+ 7 - 12 = 92 What is the value of x?

3x + 7 - 12 = 92      (add 12 to both sides)

3x + 7 - 12 + 12 = 92 + 12

3x + 7 = 104           ( subtract 7 from both sides)

3x + 7 - 7 = 104 - 7

3x = 97                   ( divide both sides by 3)

3x/3 = 97/3

x = 32 1/3
