In 1 hour Jeff can wash and wax 1/3 of his car, while his dad can wash and wax half of it. Together they can wash and wax 1/3+1/2 of the car=5/6 of the car in an hour. So it will take 6/5hr=1.2hr or 1hr 12min to wash and wax it together.
