I need to know how to solve for n.  I did guess work and have the answer, just need a formula or way to isolate n and get to the answer....

n12=531441, 12log(n)=log(531441), log(n)=log(531441)/12=0.4771 approx.

n=100.4771=3, if 10 is the log base. 

Therefore 312=531441.
