p(x)=(x-1)(x+1)(x+A), where A is the third zero. So (x^2-1)(x+A)=x^3+Ax^2-x-A=x^3+ax^2+bx+2, from which -A=2, so A=-2 and p(x)=x^3-2x^2-x+2=x^3+ax^2+bx+2, so a=-2 and b=-1.
