100(1.03)9x=1000 or 100(1.03)9x=1000?

Simplify to:

(1.03)9x=10 or (1.03)9x=10,

9xlog1.03=1 or (9log1.03)+log(x)=1,

x=1/(9log1.03)=8.6554 approx; or log(x)=1-9log1.03=0.8845, x=7.6642 approx.
