E is the most common letter in the English language. It doesn't vary with different English-writing authors, unless they deliberately write to avoid such occurrences.
Other languages have different letter frequencies.
In British English the letter Z probably occurs less frequently than it does in American English. Other infrequent letters are Q, J, K, ... Vowels other than E occur frequently but not as much as E.
