does 3x-2y=14 and 5x-y=32 equal (6,-2)?

Substitute those values into the equations
and find out if they satisfy them.

3(6) -2(-2) = ?
18 + 4 = 22     22 is not 14, so no

5(6) - (-2) = ?
30 + 4 = 34     34 is not 32, so no

(6, -2) does not satisfy either equation, so
it cannot be a point common to both
