I think you mean 3, -6, 12, -24, ...

The common ratio is r=-2 and the first term a=4.

Sn=a(rn-1)/(r-1) where n is the number of terms. For n=10:

S10=3((-2)10-1)/(-2-1)=-(210-1)=-1023.
