Not sure what is meant be the left hand expression.

log(6x2)=8+7log(2)=8+log(128),

log(6x2)-log(128)=8,

log(6x2/128)=8,

log(3x2/64)=8,

3x2/64=b8 where b is the base of the logarithms.

x2=64b8/3, x=±8b4√3/3.

If b=2, x=±128√3/3=73.9 approx; if b=e, x=±8e4√3/3=±252.178 approx.
