I found the area in between the functions y=e^x, Ln(X), the segment joining pts(0,1) and (1,0) and the line segment joining (1,e) and (e,1) by hand but I want to check my answer on the ti 89. Thank Your for your help.

There are some programs you can download that are pretty good for this. Try this one:
