Cross-multiply:

7(-3w+2)=-8x,

-21w+14=-8x,

21w=8x+14.

This relation between w and x is fixed for all values of x or w.

As long as the condition is satisfied, the proportion (4/7) remains the same.

For example, when x=14, w=6, so:

(-3w+2)/(-2x)=(-18+2)/-28=-16/-28=-4/-7=4/7.

Another example: x=35, w=14, because (-42+2)/(-70)=-40/-70=4/7.
