If y=1/√(2x3+1), let u=2x3+1, then du/dx=6x2 and y=u, so dy/du=-½u-3/2.

dy/dx=dy/du × du/dx=(-½u-3/2)6x2=-3x2u-3/2=-3x2/√(2x3+1)3.

Therefore the derivative of 1/√(2x3+1) is -3x2/√(2x3+1)3.
