what is the greatest number of cards that can be cut from a rectangular sheet that is 2 feet by 3 feet

Rectagular cards, w inches by 3 inches are cut from a retuangular sheet 2 feet by 3 feet.  What is the greates number of cards that can be cut from one sheet?

Size of the Cut Card = W x 3
Sheet Size = (2 x 12 ) & (3 x 12)
Area of the Sheet = (24) x (36)

Length of the cut card = 36 / 3 = 12 units
Width of the cut card (w) = w

Area of the Sheet = 864 in²

Area of the Sheer = Width of the Cut Card  x  Lenght of the Sheet Side use for 3 inchs
864 = w x 36
w = 24
