I need to calculate revenue opportunities for licensing.  I know the projected royalty percentage and the planned royalty amount, but how do I calcualte over sales to get the planned amount; or iin this case 8% royalty of x = $2,225,000.00

8% royalty of $2,225,000.00=(8/100)×2225000=8×22250=$178,000.00

If, however, the planned royalty amount is $2,225,000.00 and this is 8% of the revenue, then the sales revenue x is given by 8x/100=2225000, x=222500000/8=$27,812,500.00.
