How do I eliminate this and find out what y and x are? -3x - 9y + 6 - 0       and         3x + 5y - 14 = 0 There is no equal to anything on the first equation. Did my teacher do a typo?

chaenj that tu 2 equashuns:

line 1:  -3x-9y=-6

line 2: +3x+5y=14

add line 1+ line 2...-4y=8

y=-2

plug thin intu line 2...3x+5*(-2)=14

3x-10=14

3x=24

x=8
