If you take value of X as 1, then the value of y is 6. If you take the value of x as 2, Y = 3. So the slope is 3.
The equation 3x+y=9 is in standard form. Covert the equation to the slope intercept form which is y=mx+b where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept.

converting 3x+y=9 is y=-3x+9.  Therefore the slope is -3
