Why do we learn maths if all we use it to calculate is food grams or money?!

That's a very limited sense of maths. It's much more than numbers. There are so many branches of maths that don't deal primarily with numbers. Engineering, physics, meteorology, astronomy, aerodynamics, technology and many other applied sciences rely on maths and its principles. Mathematical models enable predictions to be made which influence the way we make or do things. Maths enables us to build a better picture of the world and the universe.
