You still haven’t explained how the average of 85 was calculated, even though you have explained how the grade is made up: 80% for the 4 exams and 20% for homework and definitions, making 100%. 100% means that there are no other scores to be considered. If the total score is 236+200=436, the average over 3 exams and two other sections is 436/5=87.2, not 85, and 436/6=72.7, if the zero-score final exam result is included. The question still has missing details or clarification (for example, the scoring/grading method).

20% is one fifth, so her average score of 85 was over ⅘ (80%) of her grade.

She scored an average of 85 in 4 exams so her total score was 4×85=340.

Her finals score is zero so over 5 exams her total score is 340, and her average is now 340/5=78. So she reduced her average by 85-78=7.

ADDENDUM

This question has been changed since the original answer was submitted and the average over the four exams is now (88+76+72+0)/4=236/4=59. The average of 85 no longer seems to apply. The average for the first 3 exams is 236/3=78.7 approx, so the average still doesn’t apply. In fact, the average from these given figures can never be 85. Since there are only 4 exams listed here, and the fourth exam is presumably the one she didn’t take (because it has a score of zero), then the fourth exam is 25% (a quarter), not 20%, of her grade.

If there were 5 exams (so that the final exam is worth 20% of the grade), then that would mean there were two exams with a zero score and the average would be even lower.
