I hope I can explain this Good Enough:

1.  Set the Word Problem:  3k+2 > 16  From there Solve for K

2. 3k + 2 -2 > 16-2

so, 3k >14 Divide

K=(rounded)4.7

Now, To Prove if the Inequality is True Or False, You have to Put that into the Equation.

3(4.7)+2>16

16.1 > 16 So, yes It is True.
