J to T : 5x+8

C to J: 7x+2

Therefore, distance between C to T = (C to J) + (J to T) = (7x + 2)  + (5x+8)  = 12x + 10  ---------------------(i)

Also, distance between C to T is 70 units.   ----------------------(ii)

From (i) and (ii) we get:

12x+10 = 70

=> 12x = 70-10

=>12x = 60

=> x = 60/12

=> x = 5

Therefore distance between J to T = 5x+8

=>distance between J to T = 5(5) + 8 = 25+8 = 33 units
