The total capacity of the pools is 7+4=11 units, 4/11 is the capacity of the smaller pool and 7/11 the capacity of the larger pool=36300 gallons. So 36300/(total capacity)=7/11. Total capacity (11 units)=11×36300/7 gallons. 4/11 of this is the capacity of the smaller pool: =4×36300/7=145200/7=20743 gallons to the nearest gallon.
